About Me
I am a nonbinary writer currently located in Honolulu. I have a BA in English, concentrating in creative writing from the University of Hawai'i. In my time at UH, I studied short stories, interactive fiction, point of view, fiction as a genre, and more. I was also published in the Spring 2022 edition of the school's undergraduate literary journal, Anuenue Review, and MSU’s undergraduate journal in December 2022. Additionally, I was the recipient of the Ernest Hemingway Undergraduate Reward in conjunction with my degree in Creative Writing in May 2023.
I have been writing since I first learned how to, and daydreaming worlds beyond my own before that. I am a storyteller at heart, brimming with new worlds and characters that hold pieces of the world around and within me. I write fantasy, speculative fiction, science fiction, and more. I believe now is the time to push boundaries between genres and between mediums.
I first got into video games in 2015 (DragonAge: Inquisition, anyone?) and it changed the way I think about form. Games provide a third weaver to the tapestry that changes the entire structure of the story, the characters, and even the way we write. They are a collaboration between the developers and the hundreds of strangers that give the narrative a chance. I want to build worlds that invite the player in and stories that give them the space to make the world truly alive.
I am hard at work on growing my short story collection, working on an adult fantasy novel, increasing my game portfolio, and more.
